A new policy — SPG 601.91 Clery Act Compliance — outlines the expectations of the U-M Division of Public Safety and Security and employees designated as CSAs in the university’s compliance with the Clery Act. Adults working with minors have been identified as CSAs and must complete the mandatory training annually in addition to the required CoC training modules. Make sure program staff have the ability to call for emergency assistance. Are emergency notification procedures in place, including a back-up?
Make sure that program staff have on-site access to medical and emergency contact information for youth participants
Provide program staff with a tour of the site location and surrounding area
Where should you take children in case of a severe weather emergency? In case of a fire?
Can doors be locked from the inside in case of an active shooter?
Where are the fire alarms and fire extinguishers located?
