To align with university directives and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, all in-person activities, events and programs must be in compliance with University COVID safety protocols. Refer to the Campus Maize & Blueprint for the most up-to-date guidance.

Effective September 14, 2021 the Children on Campus policy has been expanded to include all study team members who interact with children as research participants.

  • What additional procedures will be followed in the event of allegations of illegal activities? (Note: The Department of Public Safety and Security must be contacted)
  • Make sure program staff have the ability to call for emergency assistance. Are emergency notification procedures in place, including a back-up?
  • Make sure that program staff have on-site access to medical and emergency contact information for youth participants
  • Provide program staff with a tour of the site location and surrounding area
    • Where should you take children in case of a severe weather emergency? In case of a fire?
    • Can doors be locked from the inside in case of an active shooter?
    • Where are the fire alarms and fire extinguishers located?
    • Where are the emergency exits?
    • Where are the stairwells?
