Consult with the Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) in advance of high-risk activities, isolated program locations, or other security concerns
Make sure program staff have the ability to call for emergency assistance
Make sure that program staff have on-site access to medical and emergency contact information for youth participants
Ensure that police and emergency responders are aware of special activities
Provide program staff with a tour of the site location and surrounding area
Where should you take children in case of a severe weather emergency? In case of a fire?
Where are the nearest blue phones on campus?
Can doors be locked from the inside in case of an active shooter?
